Predict
When you predict you tell in your own words what you think will happen in the story.
- Use present verb tense like: will, going to
- Use sentence like: I think that....., I believe that...., I hope that.....

Visualize
When you visualize you picture the people, place and things that are being described in the story. It's like making a movie in your mind.

Connect
Good readers make connections to a story so that they can understand the story on a deeper level. The usually connect to the these 3 things:
- An Experience (Text to Self)
- Another Story (Text to Text)
- Something in real life (Text to World)
